Massimo Sturiale

Massimo Sturiale (massimo.sturiale@unimi.it), is an Associate Professor of English Language and Translation at the University of Milan. He holds a Master of Arts in “Applied Linguistics” from the University of Sheffield and a Ph.D. in “English and Anglo-American Studies” from the University of Catania. His major research interests and publications cover issues in English historical sociolinguistics, lexicography (mainly pronouncing dictionaries), phonology, and Elizabethan translations from Italian. He has also explored the role of the press in shaping debates on the standardisation of spoken English.
