How to reach the conference venue
BY PLANE
Linate Airport is the closest airport, located about 10 km from Milan city centre.
You can reach the University of Milan easily by public transport:
- Metro line M4 (Blue). Get off at Sforza Policlinico station, also just a few minutes’ walk from the University of Milan.
- Bus no. 73 to the city centre. Get off at Piazza Fontana, which is a few minutes’ walk from the University of Milan.
Malpensa Airport is about 50 km from Milan city centre.
If you arrive at Cadorna Station, take Metro line M1 (Red Line) in the direction of Sesto 1° Maggio FS and get off at San Babila, if you intend to reach the conference venue.
There are trains (Malpensa Express) and buses (Malpensa Shuttle) connecting the airport with Milano Centrale and Cadorna railway stations.
BY TRAIN
Milano Centrale (Central Station)
Milano Centrale, the city’s main railway station, is located at the heart of Milan’s transport network. Two major underground lines intersect here: Metro line M2 (Green Line) and Metro line M3 (Yellow Line).
From the city centre and the conference venue area, several public transport options are available:
Trams: 12, 14, 15, 16, 23, 24, 27
Metro: Duomo station (M1 – Red Line) or Missori station (M3 – Yellow Line), both located nearby.
Buses: 54, 60, 73, 84, 94

Please note that the area is within Area C (ZTL). Access requires payment on weekdays.
Parking outside the city centre is recommended.

Accommodation
For your stay during the conference, we recommend booking accommodation outside the very centre of Milan, where prices tend to be higher. Choosing a B&B or similar lodging near an underground (metro) line is a convenient and cost-effective option, as it allows easy access to the main University building. The closest metro stops to the University are Missori (Yellow Line M3), Duomo (Red Line M1 and Yellow Line M3) and Sforza-Policlinico (Blue Line M4), all within a short walking distance of the venue.
