Valeria Di Clemente (valeria.diclemente@unict.it) is Associate Professor of Germanic Philology at the University of Catania. Her research focuses on the medical-pharmaceutical literature in Medieval Germanic languages (Old and Middle High German, Middle Low German, Middle English, Middle Dutch), Germanic anthroponymy, women’s studies (Medieval England, Western Europe and the North), the role of Germanic culture and languages in Medieval Scotland, Early Scots language and literature and the reception of medieval themes in contemporary popular culture.
